MASJID AL-MOMINEEN
An Architectural Masterpiece!!!
December 19, 2008 Fundraiser
Dear Muslims sisters and brothers, Now that we have completed the parking lot and
landscaping phases of the New Masjid project, we are embarking on the larger task of constructing the building. We hope to replace the
existing building with a new community center and Masjid that not only caters to every need of the community - with
emphasis on building bridges of understanding and cooperation to the larger Atlanta Muslim and non-Muslim
communities - but also serves as a premier landmark in Clarkston and DeKalb county, combining and
exemplifying the best of traditional Islamic architecture with that which is contemporary yet local.
We are commissioning the Connexion Gallery & Design Studio to develop
the architectural plan. We would love to have you join our other guests in the unveiling of an architectural masterpiece, at Ashiana Restuarant,
on December 19 at 7pm. Tickets are $20 per adult and can be purchased online or at the Masjid
.
Imam Zaid Shakir of
Zaituna Institute (founded by Sheikh Hamza Yusuf) will be delivering the keynote speech, God Willing.
Volunteers Needed
Fi Sabilillah - in the Path of Allah
Are you a skilled painter? A calligrapher? A carpenter? An organizer? A fundraiser? An electrician? Regardless of what skills you possess, we need you
and your skills. We need volunteers throughout the next two years. Please volunteer to help us build
a community center and Masjid that will serve today's Muslims and future generations of Muslims in Clarkston and her vicinities for decades
to come. According to a famous Hadith in Sahih Al-Bukhari as narrated by Uthman bin Affan (RA), "Whoever built a Masjid, Allah (SWT) would build him
a similar place in Paradise." Won't you take this offer in exchange for just a little of your time and energy???
